The most thrilling airplane I’ve ever flown. Low speed, high speed nimbleness. Great stable platform. Easy peasy to land. Looking forward to the next 1,000 flights. Everyone, I fly her I become a better aviator. Built in the USA by passionate and reverent individuals. Having committed factory support to ensure my team’s success is a Godsend!
I didn’t even know I was in the market for another aircraft until a friend of mine asked me if I had seen the Gamebird GB1 at EAA in Oshkosh. I said no but later looked into the Gamebird and couldn’t stop. The lines, the carbon fiber construction, the big Lycoming AEIO-580 and that beautiful 4-bladed propeller had me hooked from the get-go.. The more I researched the GB1 the more I realized I had to own one. Incredible range,, speed and agility along with a +- 10g capability made me quickly realize this wasn’t a single purpose aircraft. The GB1 is a great cross country aircraft as well as a seriously fun aerobatic aircraft. The composite construction allows for a more spacious cockpit with less weight than other similar aircraft with a tubular frame. The manufacturer, Game Composites, has assembled an impressive team of experts who share a deep passion for aviation. This made my purchase decision even easier. The GB1 includes a thorough checkout program included with the purchase and I felt ready and confident when I flew my new bird back to Wisconsin. It only took 2.5 hours to fly from Bentonville, AR to Madison, WI.A word of caution: Don’t buy this aircraft if you don’t like attention because it turns heads everywhere I go!
When I went searching for a personal aircraft, I had an unreasonable set of requirements. It needed speed, range, utility, sublime control harmony, luxury car fit and finish with the strength and ability to fly advanced aerobatic maneuvers. I wanted it to have excellent reliability, be simple to maintain, and enjoy top-tier U.S. factory support. The Gamebird does it all beautifully and has reignited my passion for flying and sharing it with others. It is truly in a class of its own!
